> Frequently asked Questions

What do I need to take care of before the first massage?

If you are undergoing medical treatment, consult your physician in advance to determine if you can receive a massage.
Please arrive at your first massage about 10 minutes before your scheduled appointment so that we may discuss any questions you may have.
Also refer to the “Information” section

Do you offer medical massages?

No, I do not. Legal regulations in Germany specify that I cannot call myself a “masseur”. I am a “wellness masseur”; I cannot submit requests for payment to the German statutory or private insurance companies, and I neither am allowed to nor will I make diagnoses.

When is a massage not advised?

Contraindications, which are conditions in which massages are not advised, are listed in the “Information about massages and contraindications” section. If you question whether these apply to you, please consult your physician or alternative medical practitioner (“Heilpraktiker”).

What happens if I arrive late or do not show up for my appointment at all?

Please cancel any appointments that you cannot keep at least 24 hours in advance. If you do not cancel in advance, you must pay 50% of the cost of the massage that had been scheduled to cover loss of work and payment for the use of the room, etc.
If you arrive late, the length of your treatment will be reduced accordingly in the interests of customers who may be scheduled after your appointment.

What happens during the treatment/massage?

You arrive at the time of your scheduled appointment. We will have a brief introductory conversation to rule out contraindications, such as cardio-vascular disease, skin disease, and similar. I will leave the treatment room so that you may remove your clothing and make yourself comfortable on the massage table. Next, you can select the oil of your choice and simply enjoy the massage. After the massage is finished, you may relax for a few minutes on the massage table, get up, and I will offer you a glass of water (which is important following a massage.)

How much clothing should I take off before the massage begins?

I want you to feel as comfortable as possible during your massage. I respect the limits of my customers who do not wish to remove all of their clothing for their massage.
Please keep in mind, however, that your massage will be most effective if you wear no clothing or only your undergarments. Only the part of your body that is currently being massaged will be uncovered. Thus, I will never see you when you are completely unclothed. My goal is to help you relax so that you can enjoy your massage as fully as possible.

May someone accompany me?

In order to allow you to relax completely and in consideration of other customers, visitors, and employees, we ask that you not be accompanied by small children or persons who will not receive a massage.
